Our Team
Women for Women International
Women for Women International (WfWI) is GWI’s main partner on the Putting Survivors at the Center Project. The main goal of PSC–to build the capacity of non-GBV humanitarian organizations and personnel to better support GBV survivors–was partly developed in response to WfWI’s grounded experiences in humanitarian emergencies managing long-term programming for women and girls, and the needs of their own frontline staff. They bring local knowledge, an understanding of how to engage with women directly in the contexts where they work, and first-hand knowledge of the challenges of effectively supporting GBV survivors in contexts where there are no, or very weak, services available. With the technical support of GWI, WfWI staff are leading the piloting process in the DRC, Iraq, and South Sudan.
