This research report is the product of Putting Survivors at the Center Phase I. It documents the barriers to and challenges facing GBV survivors when accessing specialized GBV services in humanitarian contexts. The report contains a broad literature review and presents original research from focus groups, key informant interviews, and workshops held in the DRC, Iraq, and South Sudan. The findings from this report were key to developing the pilot programs PSC. 

This document highlights the key findings from formative research conducted during Phase I of Putting Survivors at the Center in the DRC, Iraq, and South Sudan. These data were collected from focus groups, key informant interviews, and in-country workshops with stakeholders. A literature review was also conducted to help validate findings from primary research. 

After completing Phase I of the pilot program, the Putting Survivors at the Center team shared the progress of project based on midpoint workshops conducted in the program countries. 

This informative webinar held in April 2024 introduced Putting Survivors at the Center. The webinar discusses the goals of the project, the project timeline, and the ways that the pilot programs were developed in each of the three project sites.
